South Georgia Island.

South Georgia Island is probably the best place in the world to see King penguins (Aptenodytes patagonicus) in the wild. King Penguins breed on the subantarctic islands and over 1,000,000 pairs breed on South Georgia Island. Huge colonies can be seen on St. Andrews Bay, Gold Harbour, Fortuna Bay and Salisbury Plain.
All photos were taken on two trips to this fantastic Subantarctic island in the South Attlantic Ocean near Antarctica in 2003 and 2008
